Join American Forest Management for an enriching summer internship opportunity in the vibrant Pacific Northwest Region! We are seeking 2 dynamic individuals eager to explore the world of forestry alongside our seasoned professionals. As an intern at one of our locations in Chehalis, WA, you'll embark on a journey of growth and hands-on learning under the mentorship of our skilled foresters.

Our seasoned foresters are experts in the field and are here to train new foresters entering the industry. Our standards are high. What to Expect:

• Collaborate with experienced foresters on various forestry and business tasks, including inventory work, timber sale layout, stream buffer delineation, harvesting inspections, GIS/GPS work, and tract inspections.

Position Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Forestry or Natural Resources.
• Passion for exploring a career in consulting forestry.
• Previous experience in forest inventory is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with GIS & GPS applications is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members, managers, and contractors.
• Valid driver’s license.
