The Position

Join the ArcheWild nursery team and master the breadth and depth of our nursery functions by shadowing the nursery manager and managing special projects for them. The functions you will be helping to manage include:

  • Seed farming, collecting, and accessioning
  • Seed cleaning, conditioning, and germination,
  • Production planning and production order management,
  • Flat and container production, including seeding and bed operations,
  • Managing complex customer contracts and partner programs,
  • Propagating, growing, and greenhouse management
  • Logistics and shipping

The Nursery

ArcheWild is the largest and oldest 100% native plant restoration nursery in Pennsylvania. Our products and techniques have shaped the entire native plant industry. Our gene tracking process and software are used by native seed farmers, independent ecologists, native plant nurseries, and restoration teams to embed authenticity ecology into their operations. We service state/federal agencies, restoration practitioners, and other native plant growers with our products and services. The Candidate

We already have a fantastic, high-performance team but are looking to augment the team's management capacity. Please only apply if you a person who alredy knows that mastering native plant propagation, production, and expanding availability for restoration projects is you life goal. You MUST have prior experience working with native plants in some capacity and want to learn more. Being a part of high-volume native plant nursery is hard work and a consuming experience so please apply only if you are ready to go all-in on mastering native plants and their production.

You do not need to have a degree in horticulture., BUT ample experience with several related functions is essential.  The successful candidate will have actively engaged in seed farming/collecting, propagation, production, or even sales for several years.

This postion is for someone that is ready to commit themselves to mastering native plants and their production. We will train you on everything that you need to know but we expect the applicant to already have solid work experiences.
