This is a tenure-track, joint position with the Biology Department and Great Lakes Center that involves teaching, research, and service to the campus. The successful candidate will be obligated to teach three courses per academic year primarily in aquatic biology and environmental sciences. The reduced teaching load is offset by higher expectations for securing extramural funding to support research and graduate students. Networking with local, regional, and state agencies is advantageous. Applicants are expected to submit two substantial external grant applications per year and maintain a productive publication record.
Doctoral degree in biological sciences or related discipline with broad training and research experience in aquatic biology. Postdoctoral research experience with an active publication record and evidence of grantsmanship. Research experience in large lake biology, limnology, fisheries, or climate change impacts.
