HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Construction Project Supervisor is responsible for leading individual, multi-disciplined construction projects with direct accountability for project delivery. This position is responsible all facets of project management. This position reports to the Project Manager.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage all facets of project management (scope, budget, schedule, delivery, quality & risk) for individual projects including planning, design, construction, and closeout. Implements communication plan to keep stakeholders and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings.
- Manage the delivery of CAPEX projects across all departments. Effectively plan and execute projects with a wide range of complexity from initiation through closeout.
- Read and understand moderately complex documents including agreements/contracts, project charters, surveys and drawings. Oversee agency submittals and permitting process.
- Prepare annual project delivery plan, including milestone schedule, concept budget and spend forecast.
- Interface directly with project sponsor and stakeholders to define project requirements. Prepare scope of work, project delivery requirements, concept pricing & budget, milestone schedule, quality control, and risk identification.
- Manage RFP process including bid analysis, vendor selection and contract negotiation.
- Leads project delivery team by providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals. Includes RFI and change request management to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk. Ensure safety standards and compliance are met.
- Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule. Exercise fiscal responsibility.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential to navigate evolving project demands. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively manage competing priorities.
- JOB EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year of experience managing projects with increasing level of responsibility and complexity
- At least 1 year of experience in construction in a Zoo/Theme Park Setting
- Experience with agency submittals, permitting, and code compliance.
- EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Coursework in architecture, civil engineering; structural engineering, construction management or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Science (BS), Engineering (BEng), or Architecture (BArch)
- Current valid California Driver’s License in good standing
- SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Project management methodology, process and best practices
- MS Project or other project management software proficient
- MS Office proficient
- Building trades, tools, equipment, and materials
- Building and safety regulations
- Prepare bid requests, perform bid analysis and negotiate contracts
- Plan and estimate construction work.
- Work effectively with others
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, projects team and internal departments
- Develop vendor and stakeholder relationships, evaluate contractor and consultant performance
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and identify project sponsors
- Review and understand moderately complex construction documents and plans

- Yearly Rate: $68,640 to $76,000
