Wee Folk Forest Kindergarten and Living Arts School's Director is seeking a kind soul to assist with a unique blend of household management, business support, driving and minimal childcare. Please read through this entire ad to see if this unique position would be a good fit for you. Renting a bedroom in our comfortable home in Longmont is an option as well, if needed or desired. 

Household Management role includes keeping the chaos at bay! On any given day, this looks like tidying/organizing, laundry and dishes, food prep and some cooking, packing lunches and snacks, helping the kids pick up their toys, opening packages, giving the dog medication, running errands, and so forth. I am a single parent, so this role is particularly critical to my ability to function well.

Business Support role includes running errands for any of our school locations, including 4 of our summer camp locations in the Boulder area, or our main forest school and elementary school location in Boulder. This role is minimal compared to the other roles, but likelihood is high that your help will be needed in one way or another. This could include picking up copies, hanging flyers in coffee shops, picking up supplies from a store, helping set up a tea party in the forest, etc...

Driving includes ferrying my two children (boy age 5 and girl age 10) from home to school, back to home, to either of their dads' homes, to various weekly activities such as dance, therapy, or Farm Fridays or meeting me in various places with them in tow. Having your own vehicle is a perk, but we have an extra vehicle for this purpose if needed.

Minimal childcare includes more time with the kids in the summer-time, but less during the school year. Occasional date nights for me and rare help on a weekend--most weekends are entirely OFF of work. During holiday breaks, more help with kids is needed. They are fun, love to laugh, very creative and inventive kids. We have one small 12 lb dog who is very loving but also a little over-excitable at times.

Hours range from 22-30 hrs per week. It's fine to supplement with another job as long as your hours remain flexible for these roles!
