Position SummaryPheasants Forever and Quail Forever seek an individual with talent, passion, and dedication to promote and expand the nation’s leading upland wildlife habitat conservation organization. The Chapter and Volunteer Services Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing the volunteer and chapter experience through strategic leadership, hands-on program execution, and operational improvements. Reporting directly to the Chapter and Volunteer Services Program Manager, this role requires adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to fostering volunteer engagement, supporting chapters, and optimizing processes.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chapter Onboarding & Support:
    • Coordinate and continually enhance new chapter onboarding, including tracking progress, facilitating training, and implementing best practices for sustainable success.
  • Volunteer Engagement:
    • Develop and execute innovative strategies to recruit, engage, and retain volunteers at a national scale.
    • Oversee volunteer registration and manage the volunteer experience for the annual Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic event.
  • Tools & Technology:
    • Collaborate closely with the Chapter and Volunteer Services Program Manager to effectively manage CRM applications, ensuring data integrity.
    • Maintain, improve, and utilize Power BI reporting tools to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Enhance the user experience (UI/UX) for volunteers and staff through optimized technology platforms and training resources.
  • Operational Effectiveness:
    • Identify and implement solutions to streamline departmental processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Act as a key participant in cross-departmental projects, supporting organizational objectives.
  • Communications:
    • Facilitate clear, timely, and consistent stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency and effective resource sharing.

Additional Duties:

  • Provide chapter event marketing support to improve visibility and participation.
  • Manage the setup, approval, support, and training materials for chapter events on the Upland Events Platform (UEP).
  • Perform other duties related to volunteer and chapter management as needed, including management of general volunteer inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and superior communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage projects independently, and execute tasks effectively.
  • Prior experience working with volunteers, regional representatives, or in chapter-based organizations.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
  • Interest or experience in event coordination, marketing, or volunteer management.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn UI/UX principles and data management tools (e.g., CRM systems, Power BI).
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • Commitment to the unique needs and mission of volunteer-driven conservation organizations.
