This is a part-time, remote, volunteer position. We estimate 5-8 hours per week between now and July 28, our campaign launch day (World Nature Conservation Day).

Birds for Biden is an all-volunteer grassroots organization on a mission to re-elect President Biden. There’s too much at stake in this election to sit on the sidelines, and after that debate, Bide needs us now more than ever. We’re looking for nature lovers to join us in energizing the public and getting out the vote. 

As Chief Bird Officer, you will lead our efforts to connect with people who love birds. Birds need Biden to stay in the White House, and they need our help to make that happen. 

Key Skills & Competencies

• A love of birds and people
• Knowledge of the birder community, including bird fan groups, experts, and influencers 
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for team building  
• Social media savvy
• Entrepreneurial and ambitious self-starter 
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Fluency in Spanish preferred, not required 

Responsibilities 

• Build the Bird team by identifying and enlisting partners across the U.S. 
• Help coordinate the launch of our campaign and ensure the Bird team is set up for success 
• Identify and articulate what is at stake for our nation’s birds
• Bring the bird perspective to all that we do
