The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve, based in Superior, WI, seeks a Climate Resilience Specialist to implement and support programs that enhance the resilience of human and natural infrastructure and coastal landscapes in the St. Louis River estuary and Lake Superior watershed.

  • The person in this role will support new and existing community climate resilience programs, support learning centered on land and water resilience, and engage community and volunteers in Reserve stewardship and caretaking activities.
  • The Reserve is part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Division of Extension. The University title for the Climate Resilience Specialist position is Outreach Associate.
  • This is a full-time 3-year position based at the Reserve in Superior, WI, with the possibility to become renewable or be extended beyond this initial term.
