Job Overview
The National Bobwhite and Grassland Initiative Foundation (NBGIF), working closely with state wildlife agencies and partners, have been pioneers in collaborative habitat restoration for nearly three decades. The NBGIF is seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator to help us grow national recognition of the Foundation as we deliver a suite of educational and conservation opportunities as part of our Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). Ideal candidates will demonstrate: experience developing and executing a multi-channel marketing/communication strategy; proficiency in web, publication, social media, and other content development; the use and understanding of digital analytics; an ability to build partnerships and earn media recognition; and exceptional written, verbal, and editorial skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Build the partner brands through development and implementation of an RCPP communications strategy
  • Lead development of the NBGIF’s publications, technical documents, and grant reports
  • Establish and maintain the NBGIF’s presence across strategic digital platforms
  • Create cross-promotional content (digital, print, etc.) to share throughout the partnership
  • Develop strategies to engage historically underserved, nontraditional, and first-time participants in conservation programs
  • Build relationships and opportunities to promote NBGIF and the RCPP to local, regional, and national audiences

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading an organization’s communication and outreach efforts
  • College degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field (minimum Associates degree required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and related publishing software
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and editorial skills
  • Strong ability to manage, balance, and prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Well-versed in digital media best practices, strategies, and returns on investment
  • Demonstrated experience communicating to an array of stakeholder audiences
  • Knowledge of private lands conservation or natural resource issues is a plus
