The Evergreen Soil & Water Conservation District (ESWCD) is accepting applications for the position of Conservation Technician. This is a full-time employment position, will have the primary role supporting and assisting senior staff with the implementation of the Virginia Agricultural Cost Share Program, and other agricultural and educational conservation programs. The successful candidate will work both independently and in a team environment, accept additional duties as necessary, and proactively work with fellow staff to carry out program deliverables in support of ESWCD goals.

Education and/or experience in agriculture, natural resources and/or environmental science preferred. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to use a computer effectively, be well organized and self-motivated. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Background check and drug screening will be required prior to any offer of employment.

An annual starting salary range of $39,000 - $42,000 is offered, commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid sick and annual leave, paid holidays, participation in the Virginia Retirement System, and employer paid healthcare coverage.
