FLSA Status: Seasonal May-August
Pay Rate: Stipend: $475-525 a week based on experience (Sun-Fri) | Room and Board Provided

POSITION SUMMARY: Looking for a meaningful summer job? Want to make a difference, work hard, and play even harder? If you answered yes, what are you waiting for? Come join our leadership team and lead great staff and campers through thrilling activities, help them grow and make long-lasting friendships. The coordinator will oversee all the day-to-day operations of our day camp program, with an average of 100 campers per week and staff. Bring your creativity, skills and passion for working with youth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Lead and provide support to activities, staff, and campers where necessary
2. Facilitate ropes, target sports, aquatics, and many more camp activities
3. Support overnight camp operations nightly as needed.
4. Oversee day to day operations including admin responsibilities of schedules, busses, check in/out, parent communication, weekly emails, reprots, and rosters.
5. Provide direct supervision to youth and staff
6. Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities that go along with weekly themes.
7. Lead staff meetings, trainings, evaluate staff and give positive feeback.
8. Work with campers, staff, nurses and parents to support camper needs, physically, emotionally, spiritually and behaviorally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA.
2. Must be 21 years or older
3. This position requires experience working with youth ages 5-15
4. Proven leadership skills and collaboration
5. Have or obtain First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard and Ropes certification (we will certify)
6. Willingness to have fun, laugh, and be silly with a love of the outdoors
7. Uphold and adhear to all stafety standards and hold staff acountable as well.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to provide a physical exam by a medical provider
2. Must be able to see, hear, and speak clearly.
3. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
4. Must be in good health, able to bend, stand, stoop, walk, climb and work outside in all terrain and weather conditions for extended periods of time.
5. Must be able to comprehend and communicate written and or verbal instructions.
6. Comfortable working at heights and around water.
