About Cascadia Wild:
Cascadia Wild is dedicated to connecting all people with the natural world, combining modern ecology with ancient practices of living with the earth. We do this by teaching naturalist skills, creating meaningful interactions with local natural areas, and providing stewardship opportunities for serving the wildlife, forests, and land of the Pacific Northwest.
We offer programs in wildlife tracking, wild plant foraging, and wilderness survival. Our largest program is a volunteer-based wildlife survey project on Mt Hood, called the Wolverine Tracking Project, in which volunteers help survey for wolverine and other rare carnivores. It is our vision that through increasing people's understanding of their place in our interconnected ecosystems, people will be better able to act with care and respect for the natural world.
Cascadia Wild is a small but growing, local non-profit, and this position will be the second paid staff member. This position is a unique opportunity to work closely with both the Board of Directors and the Wolverine Tracking Project Coordinator to help expand the presence of the organization.
