Director of Education: Hawk Mountain is searching for a passionate and inspirational Director of Education that is committed to providing high-quality education programs across our diverse programming platform. We believe that conservation begins with education. Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree in environmental education, or similar, and six or more years teaching experiential and inquiry-based programming at a conservation organization or environmental education facility, an understanding of Hawk Mountains mission, raptor ecology and husbandry skills, and general natural history knowledge.

The right candidate will have superb people skills, be confident engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines and have outstanding communication skills. The position requires the ability to cultivate a sense of teamwork in a collaborative environment, demonstrated flexibility, and have a high level of enthusiasm for The Hawk Mountain Mission for conserving raptors globally and Appalachian ecology.
