Position Summary:
CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations.

An Environmental Compliance Specialist position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This position is a remote position supporting the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEC) in San Antonio, Texas and supports Air Force installations worldwide. The position is responsible for providing pollution prevention expertise to support the Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Support Management Information System.
Minimum Requirements
• A B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Compliance, Logistics, Management Engineering or closely related field and 5 years supporting environmental compliance initiatives.
• Experience developing training materials and providing classroom instruction to large groups.
• Direct experience with Enterprise Environmental Safety & Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS) is necessary.
• Hazardous Waste or Material program oversight and environmental compliance program experience.
• A valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date.
• The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
