Nature's Classroom Institute is "The premier environmental education program". We host residential overnight field trips to school-aged students in Wisconsin, Texas, California, Florida and Maryland.
Role Description
This is a seasonal, full-time on-site role as an Environmental Educator at Nature's Classroom Institute located in Hartland, Wisconsin. The Environmental Educator will be responsible for conducting outdoor education programs, teaching about wildlife and ecology, developing curriculum, and promoting environmental education. This seasonal position begins February 24th and runs through May 30th, with the possibility of extending employment into next school year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outdoor education, wildlife, camp, or environmental education
- Knowledge of curriculum development and ecological principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Passion for and commitment to environmental conservation
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
- Ability to facilitate experiential learning activities
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Education, or related field preferred
Compensation Package
- $450 wage per week
- Housing and living costs provided
- Meals provided during programming
- Workshops, certifications and continued education in the field
