Position Overview
We are seeking a driven Environmental Technician to join our team full-time (40+ hours per week) to assist Senior Ecologists with fieldwork, GIS data collection, technical writing, and restoration monitoring. This role offers opportunities to engage in a variety of tasks, including:
- Wetland delineation and assessment
- Ecological restoration planning and site monitoring
- Wildlife habitat and botanical surveys
- Strategic regulatory planning and permitting
Qualifications
- Degree in biology, ecology, natural resources, or related field
- Proficiency in GIS software, especially ESRI ArcGIS
- Proficient in native and nonnative plant identification
- Field-ready: adaptable to remote, diverse field conditions
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Valid driver’s license; ability to walk up to five miles and lift up to 50 lbs
