Community Rebuilds is seeking an organized and outgoing individual with a passion for affordable and sustainable housing. The Event and Outreach Coordinator works to contribute to the housing and climate crisis by facilitating events and conducting outreach for our affordable housing program and our courses and workshops focused on sustainable building and practices. The goal of this position is to expand the reach of our opportunities far and wide with the objective of equity, inclusion, and diversity.
The Event and Outreach Coordinator will work alongside and under the supervision of the Program Administration team. The responsibilities and benefits are as follows:
General Responsibilities
- Perform 1700 hours of service between [08-01-2025] and [07-31-2026]
- Attend AmeriCorps Orientation and meetings
- Participate in AmeriCorps and Community Rebuilds events and community projects
- There may be times when you are asked to work on site to meet project deadlines. You may also join in on site additional days throughout your term if all of your tasks are completed and your supervisor authorizes it
Assignment Responsibilities
- Create promotional campaigns for events and programs
- Conducting tours of homes and campus for visitors
- Contribute to social media and graphic designing work
- Network with Universities, environmental groups, tribal communities, etc., and promote equity, diversity and inclusion within recruitment
- Table at events such as career fairs, conferences, and community events
- Plan, facilitate and manage volunteers for events such as the Haunted House, Open Houses, pop-up ReStores and other courses or workshops
- Assist Recruitment Coordinator with recruiting participants when needed
- Solicit and gather in-kind goods and supplies necessary for programs and events
Compensation and Benefits
- Living Stipend $1,700 paid monthly ($20,400/service year)

- 2 weeks variable time off, plus all federal holidays, and 4 weeks of site closures..**
