What You Will Do:

As the part-time Facilities Assistant, you will provide logistical support to Educators and Administrative staff during educational programs. You will work closely with the Day Manager and Site Manager to address maintenance, logistics, and emergency responses, as needed. 

This position takes place at our campus in Prince William Forest Park (Triangle, VA) and cannot be performed remotely.

Your primary job will be to:

  • Complete basic daily care tasks on campus, including light cleaning of cabins and bathrooms, cabin areas, campfire areas, and other campus buildings
  • Support logistics for student group arrivals and departures
  • Support group mealtimes on arrival and departure days
  • Communicate maintenance needs to the Operations Manager
  • Assist with campus move-in and set-up at the start of the season, and move-out at the end of the season
  • Assist with emergency responses as needed
  • Assist the operations director to maintain our company vehicle and UTV and keep maintenance records up to date in our current administrative systems
  • Maintain our staff housing with small maintenance, cleaning, and outdoor upkeep projects, especially before staff move in
  • Support the Day Manager and Education Manager with daily tasks as assigned

Compensation:

  • $18-22/hr 
  • Schedule: 8 hour shifts, 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace. 
  • Ability or willingness to learn how to drive and back up a trailer on a hitch. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on uneven terrain
  • Valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance necessary; this position will be required to drive NatureBridge vehicles.
