Federal Lands Restoration Specialist, Natural Resource Specialist 2 (NRS2)
Location: Wenatchee, WA
This position is a telework position and will work remotely
Relocation Compensation may be available and considered
Salary: $4,299 - $5,783 Monthly

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of commercial and non-commercial federal restoration projects as a Restoration Specialist within the Federal Lands Program.
- Perform project layout, including unit boundary establishment, road design, timber marking, and cruising, according to program objectives and relevant state and federal laws.
- Develop and review restoration project contracts and packets for advertisement and auction.
- Perform compliance of commercial and non-commercial restoration projects while coordinating with state and federal partners.
- Utilize other natural resource professionals’ expertise in planning management activities to help identify resource protection measures that may be required.
- Review, interpret, and comply with federal design criteria from NEPA and other relevant state and federal laws.
- Assist other Federal Lands Program personnel with restoration projects statewide.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or other applicable natural resource field.
OR a combination of education and/or experience equivalent. - 1 year of demonstrated experience applying theory, policy, principles, and practices of the forestry profession (i.e., fundamentals of: silviculture of northwest species, markets and economics, cruising methods, sales layout, logging methods, engineering, plant nutrition, propagation, weed control, reforestation, intensive forest practices, recreation, multiple use, inventory, water quality, watershed management, and basic principles of fisheries management.)
- Demonstrated experience and competency in ArcGIS; and Microsoft Office Suite.
