Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight of the fisheries habitat restoration program within and adjacent to Warm Springs Reservation boundaries. Responsibilities include development and management of annual budget and statement of work, annual and out-year project planning, internal coordination with other departments within the Branch of Natural resources and/or Tribal constituents, external coordination with partner agencies and/or constituents, and supervision of program staff. Prospective candidate should be proficient with the development, implementation, and monitoring, of fish habitat restoration projects benefitting culturally significant fish species including anadromous and resident salmonids. Candidate will directly supervise two fisheries biologists and one fisheries technician, and will indirectly supervise an additional two fisheries technicians.
Education & Experience:
- Masters of Science in Fisheries Science or closely related field and 3 years job-related experience or Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Science or closely related field and 5 years of job-related experience.
- Project management and supervisory experience necessary.
