Responsibilities:
The Forest Resilience Division (FRD) is responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of forest health-related activities across all lands that work to restore and sustain ecological functions of Washington’s forested landscapes and support healthy and resilient communities. The Forest Resilience Grants Administration team is a critical element in the delivery of Forest Resilience programmatic objectives through the administration, facilitation, and management of the Division’s state and federally funded grants and sub-awards. 

Under general direction from the Federal Grant Supervisor, the Forest Resilience Federal Grant Coordinator conducts preliminary fiscal and administrative evaluations and reviews of Forest Resilience Division grant proposals and proposal components submitted by other Divisions through the Forest Resilience Division, as well as the resulting awards. 

This position will coordinate with FRD Assistant Division Managers (ADM), Program Managers, and others within the agency to implement current grant processes. 

The position works with the Grants Administration team and participates in the interpretation and analysis of specific grant agreements and guidelines, state and federal statutes and rules, the Forest Resilience Grants Program, and Agency policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, law, or related field; 
    AND two years of experience in grant and/or contract administration; 
    OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.
