CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU). A GIS Specialist-Team Lead position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). The position is located at Wheeler Army Airfield which is located on Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.
This position is responsible for managing the project tasks to support the US Army Garrison Hawaii environmental GIS database and intranet site. The project provides GIS and spatial services support to the US Army Garrison Hawaii (USAG-HI) Directorate of Public Works (DPW) environmental GIS database and Master Planning Division intranet site to include civil infrastructure and utilities. Responsibilities include updating and editing GIS data as needed, field data collection with GPS and map creation and printing. The employee will also be responsible for ensuring the GIS data meets all data standards outlined by the Army.
Minimum Requirements
- A BS or BA degree.
- 3-years’ experience in the management of geospatial data or similar relevant experience.
- Experience with the ESRI suite of products or similar relevant experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date.
- The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position
