Job Description: Full-Time Program Assistant
Position: Green Valley Project Program Assistant
Organization: The C.R.E.W.
Status: Full-Time (35-40 hours/week)
Salary: $19-22/hour starting, with paid vacation and sick time accrual
Key Responsibilities:
- Time Management: Flexibly manage your schedule to meet program objectives.
- Team Collaboration: Regularly attend internal team meetings and actively contribute to planning and program execution.
- Leadership: Lead weekly education and leadership workshops with the PAX Environmental Science Institute and Youth Council.
- Student Engagement: Facilitate student activities, including conducting icebreakers, bringing necessary supplies, and maintaining regular student check-ins.
- Community Outreach: Represent The C.R.E.W. by managing our booth at the farmers market and engaging with the local community.
- Program Planning: Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing educational and outreach programs.
- Event Management: Coordinate and support events, ensuring all logistics and details are handled effectively.
- Partner Relations: Collaborate with partner organizations to enhance program delivery and outreach efforts.
- Grant Writing Support: Contribute to grant research and writing efforts to secure funding for programs.
- Administrative Support: Perform various office tasks as needed to assist the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, environmental science, biology, communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with youth in educational, mentorship, or leadership capacities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Occasional travel for career development opportunities, conferences, and program-related events.
Reporting:
The Program Assistant reports directly to the Program Director.
