The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Information Technology Division. This is a Senior/ Specialist level position that provides subject matter expertise in the area of change management to assist business partners and technical staff adjust and managing a system or business change introduced during and after the implementation of IT project work.
This position serves as a change management consultant to the division and agency for IT projects or initiatives that have a heavy IT component.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver organizational change management services to support ITD change initiatives and business-driven projects.
- Mature the organizational change development (OCM) competency of leaders and staff, support OCM framework and tools, and OCM practice delivery within the agency.
- Develop and conduct a variety of assessments to determine the organizational readiness for change and develop appropriate strategies, tools, and training.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, human resources, organizational development, applied behavior sciences, information technology, or closely related field AND a total of seven (7) years of relevant IT experience;
OR an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant IT experience equivalent. - Experience as a change manager of a project or change initiative.
- ProSci change management practitioner certification (or like program equivalent).
- Familiarity with organizational psychology and use of team building and change management tools, such as conflict resolution, Prosci’s ADKAR model, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or similar instruments.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
- Able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
- Self-motivated, and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
- Commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices.
