Distinguished Professor Karen Holl in the Environmental Studies Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz invites applications for a junior specialist position focusing on GIS and survey data management for a study of global reforestation efforts. The study includes a survey of how well over 100 global conservation organizations comply with best practices for tree growing and analysis of the effect of these projects on forest cover change (http://www.holl-lab.com/improving-tree-growing-campaigns.html). • 75% - GIS analyses - compiling spatial data from various sources and analyzing tree cover change over time as a function of various environmental and social variables.
• 10% - Compiling and visualizing survey data.
