The Farmington River Watershed Association (FRWA) is seeking a Land Stewardship Coordinator to support land conservation and stewardship activities within the Watershed. Learn more in the job description. Position open until filled.

FRWA is thrilled to announce a brand-new role within our organization: Land Stewardship Coordinator! This position is ideal for individuals with a background in natural resources who are deeply goal-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about making a difference.

As the Land Stewardship Coordinator, your primary focus will be to support land conservation and stewardship activities within the Farmington River Watershed. FRWA is actively engaged in land conservation, restoration, and land management activities in cooperation with land owners including municipalities, land trusts, and the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. We are engaged in a diverse range of activities with our project partners and need staff support to help assist and coordinate our activities. FRWA owns 13 acres of riverfront land in New Hartford and is actively managing this parcel in accordance with FRWA’s conservation values. We work in partnership with the Farmington River Coordinating Committee and the Lower Farmington River and Salmon Brook Wild & Scenic Committee; two committees that enact management plans that protect their own Wild and Scenic river segments.     

This position would support FRWA’s efforts with land stewardship and conservation in the watershed including working broadly and individually with conservation partners in the Farmington Valley.
