Position Summary

 The main role is to be responsible for the strategic planning and oversight of production, providing the most ecologically appropriate seeds, plants and trees and shrubs available in our industry.  The Manager of Native Plant and Product Production must follow all ethical, legal and safety guidelines established by Prairie Restorations Company's Policy and Procedure manuals. The Manager of Products is selected by and reports directly to the President. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • To oversee the production and inventory of all PRI products.
  • To produce reports, budgets and metrics for evaluating success and outcomes of the products department as requested by the President.
  • To be responsible for land rental agreements and any licenses or certificates the products department may need to operate.
  • To determine and evaluate production costs.
  • To become competent with Zoho functions.
  • To envision and plan for the future growth and efficient operations of all production facilities, equipment and procedures.
  • Driver responsibilities, including transport of equipment. This will require maintaining a MN DOT permit.
  • To develop and implement systems for the production and delivery of all PRI products.
  • To oversee the production facilities and equipment, scheduling maintenance and repair for the products division as needed.
  • To maintain a positive workplace attitude and contribute to positive service team attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This position regularly operates both in a professional office environment and field and production locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, and production tools.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role however some field visits are required. This would require the ability to sit for extended periods of time, walk on uneven surfaces, lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
