Salary: $4,093.00 - $5,501.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:
This person serves as one of two South Puget Sound region contract specialists who is the primary point of contact for district foresters and engineers regarding timber sale documents and sold sale contract administration and financial management.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and processing timber sale review documents and advertising materials.
- Reviewing and analyzing contracts and other associated documents for completeness and adherence to agency policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Manage timber sale financial accounts, including analyzing timber sale data and ensuring accuracy in data management utilizing various agency systems including NaturE.
- Invoicing and processing payments for timber sales, and performs log and load accountability on timber sales sold on a scale or tonnage basis.
- Coordinate with timber sale Purchasers, scaling bureaus, scale facilities, Division and Region staff, and regulatory agency staff to ensure compliance with proper contract processes.
- Perform SharePoint administrator duties for region product sales SharePoint site.
- Manages and maintains timber sale records according to agency file policies and retention requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree involving major study in business administration, public administration, business law, commerce, economics, mathematics, statistics, or closely allied field AND One year of experience in negotiating, administering, or terminating contracts, contract property management, contract cost or price analysis, contract compliance administration or natural resource business or public administration field involving contract management.
OR A combination of education and/or experience equivalent.
A law degree from an accredited college or university approved by the Washington State Bar Association may be substituted for the experience and education. - Experience with contracts terminology and development, contracts practices, and procedures.
- Advanced level experience in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets, and Adobe Products.
- Experience organizing, prioritizing, and working within tight schedules and timelines with attention to detail.
- Demonstrate positive customer service skills.
- Ability to write clearly and effectively; interpret contract terms, requirements, and conditions; represent the agency in coordination and negotiation with other governmental agencies and private industry; recognize desirable contract terms and provisions; identify areas and incidents of non-compliance with existing contracts; exhibit Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
