Interns will work alongside the US Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management in various locations across Colorado and southern Wyoming. Our participants will gain experience, make connections, and serve public lands.
Start dates vary by position but are generally between April and June! Details can be found on our website.
Current USFS positions include:
- Recreation interns in Walden, Steamboat Springs, Yampa, Rifle, Aspen, Minturn, Silt, and Silverthorne, CO and Laramie, Douglas, and Saratoga, WY
- National Guard Wildland Fire/Fuels interns in Yampa, CO
- Trails and Wilderness interns in Aspen, Meeker, Minturn, and Silverthorne, CO
- Timber and Silviculture interns in Silverthorne and Minturn, CO
Current BLM positions include:
- Vegetation and Soil Monitoring (AIM) in Kremmling, Meeker, Silt, and Craig, CO
- Wildland fire and fuels in Craig, CO and Yampa, CO
NATURAL RESOURCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 16-30
Internships are designed to engage youth and young adults in valuable work experiences within natural resources management agencies and non-profits. Internships allow participants to consider or advance careers and education in natural resources. RMYC provides support to all internships while the intern works under the daily supervision of the hosting public lands management agency, or non-profit.
