North American Bison Summit Logistics Subteam
The Logistics Subteam is a crucial part of the Wildlife Restoration Foundation (WRF) North American Bison Summit (NABS) team. Contribute to WRF's mission by organizing and executing a successful Summit dedicated to bison conservation and management and preserving the ranching way of life in America. We are looking for 5 local (to Fort Collins/Denver/Boulder) NABS Logistics Subteam members to work closely with NABS leadership and the wider NABS Team to ensure the smooth execution of the Summit, a key event in WRF's conservation efforts. Key Position Responsibilities of the NABS Logistics Team:
- Assist attendees seeking to participate in NABS workgroups/full group sessions
- Obtain event signage and assist in registration/check-in duties
- Coordinate on-site event activities and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Help organize special events (Welcome + Poster Receptions, Tribal Gathering, Film Shorts, and Photography Show, Silent Auction)
- Liaison with The Ranch Events Complex on food and beverage for Summit receptions and pre-events.
- Assist with Summit communications (Social Media, Press Releases, Media Liaison, Infographics)
- Any other needed areas that fulfill Summit development on-site and in pre-preparation. Work with a fun and able team from across the continent!
WRF requests a dedicated 16-20 hours per week (flexible schedule) and an agreement to work with WRF for leading up to the event with at least partial availability to be on-site for the April 1-4, 2025 North American Bison Summit in Loveland, Colorado. The logistics team member must be a self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about WRF's mission. One person will be selected to be the Subteam Lead and develop/manage the Summit run-of-show.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in event management software (Eventbrite) and other tools (Wix, Canva)
- Familiarity with land conservation issues and Western heritage and Tribes
- Experience with ranches and farms a plus
- Passion for wildlife and conservation required!
The NABS Logistics Subteam will report to the NABS Co-Leads. Hours are flexible within the week, but participation in the North American Bison Summit core team meetings is vital.
