The Open Space and Trails Technician performs routine to complex administrative and technical work related to the open space program, wildlife management, and the trails system. This role has a high level of responsibility to perform a variety of tasks focused on public outreach, event preparation, research, volunteer management, and response to the daily needs of the City and County’s Open Space and Trails and the public. A primary responsibility is to communicate information to the public regarding open space, wildlife and trails information in written, verbal or graphic (e.g. maps, photographs) formats. The position maintains a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the community and fellow CCOB staff members. The Open Space and Trails Technician manages a variety of competing duties and should be ready to shift daily priorities as needed.
