Position: Summer Camp Educator – Outdoor Education Instructor

Are you passionate about the outdoors? Are you excited to share that passion with the next generation of outdoor leaders? If so, we would love to have you be a part of our outdoor-education based summer camp programming! We are looking for individuals with a unique blend of technical and soft skills: The ability to set-up a redundant top-rope anchor and also the ability to help foster a strong sense of security and belonging within each student
group.

Required Skills:

• Experience working with youth in an outdoor setting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of basic top-rope climbing principles
• Technical skills to safely clean top-rope climbing routes
• Basic bike maintenance and repair skills
• Has experience managing risk in a group setting
• Demonstrated track record of creating safe, inclusive experiences in the outdoors for students of all experience and skill levels
• Collaborate with fellow Educators and staff to create a memorable summer camp experience.
• Must be 25 years of age so you can drive the bus

Preferred Skills:

• Experience driving a vehicle that carries 10+ people
• WFA/WFR and CPR certified
• Strong working knowledge of local trail systems and recreation areas
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster teamwork.
• Able and willing to be flexible in the field as student and environmental needs require
  Duration: Summer Camps run the following weeks

  ● Camps run 6/16–8/22
