This position is stationed at City of Rocks State Park. This position patrols the park to ensure public safety and enforce applicable state, local, and federal laws. Provides customer service by responding to visitor needs and emergencies, such as perform rescue operations, issue citations, make arrests, take statements, conduct investigations, complete reports, and attend court. Maintains a high level of proficiency with defensive equipment and maintain a high level of mental readiness. May conduct investigations, make arrests, serve warrants, issue citations, respond to homicide calls, unattended death calls, suicide calls, public disturbance calls, aggravated assault calls, DUI calls, domestic violence calls, burglary/theft calls, search and rescue calls, missing person calls, property damage calls and make routine traffic stops.  Collects and verify revenues due to the state. Writes in a clear and concise manner. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly logs and reports. May request quotes and assist in the procurement process for projects. May assist in coordinating interpretive programs for park visitors. May oversee and provide direction to seasonal/temporary staff and volunteers. Required to request and attend law enforcement training to meet requirements of a commissioned officer. Operate various office equipment, power tools, Vehicles, and heavy equipment.

A non-certified UNDERFILL position is available to applicants who are currently not certified law enforcement officers but have the qualifications to attend the Law Enforcement Academy to become a certified law enforcement officer.
