We empower people to contribute to a healthier planet by planting native species, removing invasive plants, and supporting biodiversity in their communities.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly organized Administrative and Engagement Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll grow the movement by coordinating communications, managing data entry, engaging on social media, and keeping our administrative tasks running smoothly. We’re seeking someone who’s proactive, efficient, and comfortable working independently. Key Responsibilities
Donor & Supporter Communications
- Respond to and manage incoming support emails from donors, partners, and the public.
- Send personalized acknowledgments and updates to donors about the impact of their contributions.
- Assist with donor relations and engagement initiatives.
- Process and enter checks from EarthClassMail into Bloomerang and submit them for deposit.
Data Entry & Administrative Support
- Enter new data into the HNP interactive map with accuracy and consistency.
- Organize and clean spreadsheet data so that it can be imported into various systems.
- Maintain and update the local organization directory to connect users with regional resources.
- Maintain a library of community images, ensuring easy access for team members.
- Organize plant data for the keystone plant database.
Social Media & Outreach Support
- Like and respond to comments on HNP’s social media posts.
- Engage with and comment on posts from partner organizations.
- Assist with Mailchimp email campaigns by assembling text and graphics, making edits, and scheduling finalized campaigns.
Qualifications

- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling a high volume of emails and responding in a timely manner.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise emails.
- Experience with Google Drive organization and file management.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Data entry experience, proficient in Google Sheets.
- Preferred but not required: Experience with database management and CRM platforms (Bloomerang, Mailchimp).
- Preferred but not required: Background in biology, ecology, horticulture, or native plants.
Compensation & Work Environment
- $15-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
- 20-30 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
