The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is accepting applications for a Policy Development Analyst II for our Office of Conservation Policy & Analysis. This position is responsible for the initiation, coordination and completion of all agency rulemaking in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act. Rules are complex and change frequently. Agency rules govern hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, game land use, regulated activities, licensing, etc.
The Policy Development Analyst also:
- Prepares economic impact analyses and fiscal notes.
- Works closely with agency staff to draft and review rule language, present rules to the agency’s Board and explains/defends rules to the Rules Review Commission.
- Interacts regularly with partners/stakeholders, constituents, and the general public to perform duties.
- May provide leadership and supervision.
