Join American Prairie to Help Protect Prairie Dogs!
Become part of a dedicated volunteer crew working to mitigate the spread of plague by distributing insecticide grain around prairie dog colonies on American Prairie lands in northeastern Montana. This hands-on conservation work allows volunteers to explore the prairie, learn from expert staff, and contribute to the protection of this keystone species.
Meals and lodging will be provided for volunteer crews during two sessions: September 8-12th and October 1-4th, 2025.
Visit this American Prairie webpage to read more about the Prairie Dog Plague Mitigation Crew and submit an application to our Volunteer Manager.
