Opportunity Summary
For over 50 years, NatureServe has provided the best available information on imperiled biodiversity, including species and ecosystems, to partners across North America. We publish information on taxonomy, conservation status assessments, life history, and threats through our open platform, NatureServe Explorer. We also deliver generalized geospatial information to public users, and precise geospatial data to licensed users, through NatureServe Explorer Pro.
The past few years have seen increased interest in high-quality biodiversity information from the private sector, including to support the development of metrics and other mechanisms for voluntary disclosure. We are exploring opportunities for expanding NatureServe Explorer Pro to deliver an exciting new product—a site-based biodiversity values report that can help meet these growing needs.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Product Marketing Researcher to join our team on a contract basis for 3-6 months. This individual will help guide the development and marketing of NatureServe’s new biodiversity-related product. The ideal bid will demonstrate strong experience in market research, data analysis, product pricing, strategic planning, and a keen understanding of the environmental and conservation sectors. Experience with current conversations in biodiversity metrics, including under groups like the Task Force for Nature-Related Financial Disclosure (TNFD), is a plus.
This contract position will help ensure that our new product is well-aligned with market needs, complements existing NatureServe offerings, and is positioned for success.

You will be part of an exciting multi-disciplinary team. Key contacts will include our Director, Marketing & Communications; Marketing Associate; Vice President, Conservation Science; Chief of Staff, Science; and Conservation Applications Strategist. This team will meet regularly over the course of your contract.
