About the Role:
The National Bobwhite and Grassland Initiative Foundation (NBGIF), working closely with state wildlife agencies and partners, have been pioneers in collaborative habitat restoration for nearly three decades. We are seeking an experienced Program Coordinator in Mississippi to join our growing team delivering conservation projects to landowners and producers through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). Ideal candidates will possess leadership experience, a project management background, knowledge of government operations, strong organizational and communication skills, and problem-solving ability. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate a team of state wildlife agency conservation delivery staff, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and other conservation partners to deliver RCPP projects to private and historically underserved landowners with an emphasis on northern bobwhite conservation.
- Hire and supervise up to two (2) State Delivery Specialists.
- Collaborate with a state wildlife agency private lands administrator for planning and implementation.
- Support compliance checks, contracting, and activities through a project management system.
- Serve as a liaison between NRCS, field operations, state operations, and national operations.
- Work with the National Director to secure partner contributions and complete reports.
- Maintain a constructive and positive team environment among staff and partners.
- Collaborate towards improving program delivery from field operations to administrative processes.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in coordinating conservation activities with partners and employees, or a similarly related field.
- A BS degree in a natural resource management, information technology, communications, or business management field.
- Knowledge of private lands conservation delivery and NRCS cost-share programs.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, database operations, and capable of learning new software.
- Strong ability to manage, balance, and prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently in a customer service environment, lead others, and think creatively to solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills and highly self-motivated.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to create and maintain processes that others can easily follow.
