A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline.
Primary Function:
The technician will be completing field recreational use surveys in the greater Seattle area from April 2025 to September 2025. Technicians will complete sampling while upholding safety protocols, sampling protocols, and QAQC the data collected. Technicians will directly report to a Project Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely drive to and from recreational sites and report times to Field Coordinator
- Transport sampling gear to/from/between sites
- Complete sampling duties at sites safely and in all weather conditions
- QAQC data sheets
- Field questions from the public
Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly rate to be negotiated, and total compensation will vary depending on the candidates’ depth of experience. This is a full–time position. AIS benefits package includes health and dental insurance, vacation, sick and holiday benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Pursuing science related degree
- Reliable vehicle
- Available to work weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Data collection experience
- Familiar with Seattle metro area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Field Data Collection experience
Travel:
- Local travel throughout the Greater Seattle area
- Miles accrued on a personal vehicle at the specified Government rate outside of hire location.
