The Environmental Protection & Sustainability (EP&S) Division is seeking a Recycling Specialist I to join the Environmental Programming Section.

While the title emphasizes recycling, this role actually encompasses a broader focus on sustainability, including public education, community outreach, environmental policy, legislative enforcement, and fieldwork across Maui County (including the islands of Molokai and Lanai).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development, implementation, and coordination of countywide environmental protection and sustainability programs
• Support grant programs and demonstration projects; conduct site visits
• Drive community outreach initiatives and educational campaigns
• Participate in enforcement efforts to uphold environmental legislation
