The Science Program Director oversees Seacamp's science education programs and science program staff. Seacamp is a unique nonprofit marine science education facility located in the Florida Keys.
Duties
- Recruiting and hiring of science staff
- Motivating, supervising, and evaluate science instructors.
- Coordinate, implement and supervise camper arrival and departure trips to Miami during summer camp.
- Update, create, and teach Seacamp’s science class, programs, and curriculums.
- Training program staff
- Working closely with other members of leadership staff to ensure camp runs safely
- Supervise camp as Operations Manager as assigned
- Assist in coordination of ACA standard implementation and accreditation process

Requirements
- Camp experience, including experience in a supervisory position
- Experience in field based education, curriculum development, and program assessment
- Strong leadership abilities to supervise and motivate team members with enthusiasm
- Good communication, computer skills, organizational skills
- Certification and experience SCUBA Diving, preferably with scientific diving experience
- Certification or experience in boating, lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED, and/or SCUBA Diving preferred
