Looking for two seasonal Park Rangers to assist with management of US Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds and Day-Use Areas.
Work may include but not limited to:
· Serve as a Park Ranger assisting Ranger staff with routine day-to-day duties required to operate and maintain recreational facilities.
· Provide visitor assistance to the public while enforcing Title 36 rules and regulations.
· Provide visitor assistance to the public including giving directions, explaining park rules and regulations, managing campground reservations, and referring safety issues to appropriate staff.
· Perform routine upkeep of recreational areas utilizing zero turn lawn mowers, operating grass trimmers and performing tree planting, trimming and watering.
· Assist with development and presentation of interpretive programs.
· Conduct necessary inspections of facilities and/or checking progress and completion of routine service contractor’s work.
· Ability to assist with threatened and endangered species work or cultural resource work may be provided on limited basis if applicant is interested.
Most work takes place in outdoor environment with possibility of adverse weather conditions, biting insects, etc.
Applicant must have possession of or ability to obtain a valid drivers license.
Will be required to wear a provided uniform.
Must be willing to work rotating evenings, weekends and holidays.
