The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance has one (1) opening for a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer in the Small Community Technical Assistance 1 Unit. This position is in downtown Sacramento at 1001 I Street, 16th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Supervising Sanitary Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the essential work performed by technical staff in the Small Community Technical Assistance 1 Unit in the Office of Sustainable Water Solution Branch to support the Division’s goals and the people of California. The incumbent is expected to provide leadership and guide staff to work cooperatively with other agency staff and interested parties to develop program guidelines for administration of various funding programs, oversees the preparation of funding application documents, and supervises a technical team in review, selection, and recommendation of projects for funding.

Candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
