Statewide Inventory Coordinator

This position coordinates the statewide inventory program for the Division of Forestry. Including, the Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) and the new Plot Based Inventory (PBI) projects. The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic & operational coordination to plan and implement comprehensive inventory selection protocols, inventory policies & procedures, quality assurance, the transition of our inventory to PBI, and management of the forest inventory, 4Trees database. This position works out of the Resource Assessment Program office.
Responsibilities include: Program Coordination: Develop and implement program goals, establish work and spending plans, recommend program policies, assign work and lead staff, monitor work quality and progress of forestry staff and contractors, administer programs and budgets, and interact with other resource disciplines. Develop reports in one or more forestry programs and/or subprograms and/or activity areas. Provide strategic and operational input for planning and implementation of a comprehensive inventory system. Coordinating program activities with other agencies.
