Surface Water Monitoring and Harmful Cyanobacteria Blooms Tech - $18.00/hr

Express Employment is searching for a Harmful Cyanobacteria Blooms Tech to assist the State of Wyoming’s Department of Environmental Quality with a seasonal project. This position requires experience with research.

Job Duties:

• Review satellite imagery to detect the presence of blooms
• Collect cyanobacteria and cyanotoxin samples
• Identify cyanobacteria in water samples
• Evaluate and manage water quality data
• Assist with surface water quality standards development
• Compile and organize files

What we look for:

• Possess or be working towards a bachelor’s degree in the sciences
• Professional written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in wet, cold, and muddy conditions in order to collect samples
• Experience with GIS is preferred
