The Klamath Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Network is hiring seasonal biotechnicians and crew leads for 2025 to conduct vegetation monitoring and invasive species monitoring. Working with the Klamath I&M Network offers a unique opportunity to contribute to long-term research that supports resource management in national parks. Our vegetation monitoring crew will be working in Lassen Volcanic National Park and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, while our invasive species monitoring crew will work in all six Klamath parks. Based out of the Klamath I&M Network office in Ashland, OR, these 5-6 month positions requires frequent travel to perform data collection at the parks.
Members of our vegetation crew (4-person crew) conduct vegetation and environmental monitoring at established plots in the parks. Members of our invasive species early detection crew (2-person crew) identify and document invasives throughout the parks. Strong applicants will be experienced in vascular plant identification and taxonomy.
Salary ranges from $19.34 to $23.96 per hour. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available.

- Hiking long distances with heavy packs to data collection plots
