Position Summary:
As FlyWire continues to expand, we are excited to add the position of Video Analyst to the team, who will support all data analysis projects, meet stringent deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team setting. We seek a highly motivated person who is interested in technology, food systems, commercial fisheries, and sustainability.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review videos to complete catch accounting, document interactions with protected species such as marine birds, turtles, and mammals, and measure additional insights as needed – alongside AI tools.
- Assist with internal audits to maintain high quality outputs for customers, fishery regulators, and sustainability certifiers.
- Work with software/technical team to test new software features and upgrades, as needed.
- Complete on-going educational training, such as data processing and auditing methods, regulatory certifications, and/or technical skill building, as required.
- Work collaboratively with fishery regulators in the USA, such as NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) to implement feedback from third-party audits.
- Maintain strict confidentiality standards regarding video review and subsequent data analyses.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering valuable feedback to customers that improves data quality.
- Efficiently input and maintain accurate records and data and complete data analyses.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Fish & Wildlife Management and/or related fields.
- Strong technical aptitude to read, understand, and improve Standard Operating Procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong and consistent attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Motivated and highly driven.
- Enthusiastic about developing new skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to collaborate within a team and with other outside teams, as well as work independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of prolonged sitting and spending hours on a computer.
- Able to lift objects up to 10 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Walking and/or standing at times may be required.
Commitment & Consideration:
- Full-time position with expectations to be on-site
- Monday to Friday
Pay Range:
- $40,000 to $45,000
