GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Sultana Education Foundation’s newest component is the Lawrence Wetlands Preserve, an 8.5 acre urban nature preserve located in Chestertown, Maryland. Wonders of Wetlands (WOW) is a summer camp program for participants between the ages of 7 - 9, designed to introduce young learners to basic scientific concepts while immersing them in the outdoors.
The WOW Summer Program Staff will help facilitate the programs in conjunction with the Lawrence Wetlands Preserve Manager. Each camp is designed to offer participants a fun and meaningful introduction to Chesapeake wetlands as well as how they fit into the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors with children as they explore and interact with their natural surroundings.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Experience working with children preferred
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED/PREFERRED
(SEF may assist and cover expenses for required certifications)
- First Aid & CPR - preferred
- Lifeguard Certification - preferred
